Summer is here and we have two exciting programs planned which we hope
all of you will participate in. To start
we will have the summer picnic on June 30th (Sunday) at Yorba
Regional Park. SCGCS will provide lunch
free of charge to all members who attend.
We were fortunate enough to be able to reserve camping this year at Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara CA. It’s a fantastic location and is limited capacity for both cars and people. Camping is from Aug 1st (Thur) through the 4th(Sun). The cost for family of 2 is $200.00 and for a family of 4 is $350.00 Additional details about the outing and the application can be down-loaded from our website,Lake Cachuma Camping Application. We encourage you to fill out the application ahead of time and make your check payable to “Southern California Gujarati Cultural Society”. We will also have application available at the picnic on June 30th and picnic will be the 1st day the application will be accepted. Note : Camping is for Members only
The two events after this will be the Navratri program in Oct and Diwali/New Years dinner in Nov. Further details for these two events will be provided in our next flyer. View June 2019 Flyer

SCGCS would like to honor and recognize Shri Ganpatbhai Patel for receiving Padma Shri award in March 2019 and his life time contributions to SCGCS. Please join us on May 5th at Tandoor Restaurant to celebrate achievment of one of our own. Please contact Kirit, Rajay, or Pravin and RSVP no later than April 20th to reserve your seat. SCGCS Board of Trustees had a brief discussion about the potential of rain in the early AM and the temperature potentially being in high 50s. Due to rain, temp, and wind we have decided to cancel the Holi Celebration. We truly apologize and please pass on this message to all those individuals who may not get a chance to check this website.
