Hari Om to All SCGCS Members                                                  Sept 2019

I hope all of our SCGCS members are doing great and are ready for the last two events of 2019 which are Navratri Program and Diwali Dinner.  We ask our members to spread the word to their friends and family and come and celebrate Navratri.  For all SCGCS members this event is free of charge.  Those that want to do Aarti please see one of the trustee boards when you arrive.  Additional information in Sept 2019 Flyer

Due to Hall’s policy we are unable to serve cooked Prasad or snacks. So for Prasad, we request our members to bring dry Prasad or fruits.  SCGCS will provide Aarti, so please don’t bring Aarti from home.

The next celebration is the Diwali/New Year program.  Since it’s at a restaurant, the capacity is limited so please purchase your ticket in advance at the Navratri Program.   We look forward to celebrating the New Year with family and friends, additional information can be found on page 2 of this flyer.

If you would like to be part of SCGCS board of trustees in 2019 please go to SCGCS.ORG to download and complete the form and mail it by Nov.15th, 2019.

Regards,

Anil Patel

We hope all of our members are doing well and are in good health.  Summer is here and we have two exciting programs planned which we hope all of you will participate in.  To start we will have the summer picnic on June 30th (Sunday) at Yorba Regional Park.  SCGCS will provide lunch free of charge to all members who attend.

We were fortunate enough to be able to reserve camping this year at Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara CA.  It’s a fantastic location and is limited capacity for both cars and people.  Camping is from Aug 1st (Thur) through the 4th(Sun).  The cost for family of 2 is $200.00 and for a family of 4 is $350.00 Additional details about the outing and the application can be down-loaded from our website, Lake Cachuma Camping Application.  We encourage you to fill out the application ahead of time and make your check payable to “Southern California Gujarati Cultural Society”.  We will also have application available at the picnic on June 30th and picnic will be the 1st day the application will be accepted.  Note : Camping is for Members only

The two events after this will be the Navratri program in Oct and Diwali/New Years dinner in Nov.  Further details for these two events will be provided in our next flyer. View June 2019 Flyer

As always, we are here to serve our members to the best of our abilities, and are truly hoping for greater participation from the members for all of the below events.  If you haven’t provided your email to us please do so, all future communication for these events will be via email.
